Tips for Your Visit to Aggieland!

Before You Arrive

  • Plan Your Route: Know how you'll get to Bryan-College Station, and allow extra time for traffic or unexpected delays. We are just a short drive from Houston, Dallas, and Austin. Get directions to campus and explore the campus map to help plan.
  • Check the Weather: Texas weather can be unpredictable — bring layers, sunscreen, or rain gear as needed. Arrange Parking: Look up visitor parking options in advance. Some lots require permits or have time limits, so plan accordingly.
  • Accessibility Needs: If you or someone in your group needs assistance, such as accessible parking, let us know in advance so we can help make your visit comfortable.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable Shoes & Water: There's a lot to see on campus, and tours cover plenty of ground. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
  • Sunscreen or Umbrella: Protect yourself from the Texas sun by applying sunscreen or bringing an umbrella for shade.
  • Notebook (Optional): Jot down impressions or questions to help with decision-making later.

During the Tour

  • Arrive Early: Plan to arrive 15–30 minutes before your scheduled tour time. If you're running late, call us at (979) 845-5851.
  • Ask Questions: Our Howdy Crew leaders are happy to share insights about student life, academics, and local hot spots.
  • Follow Tour Guidelines: Help keep the experience smooth and enjoyable for everyone by following any instructions from staff and guides.

After Your Tour

  • Explore More with the Campus Map: Use the Campus Map to check out more spots around campus at your own pace and discover more of what Texas A&M has to offer.
  • Visit Key Offices: If you're interested in financial aid, housing, or a specific college or program, consider scheduling time to stop by those offices during your visit.
  • Grab a Bite or Explore the Area: Check out dining options on or near campus, and explore Bryan-College Station to get a feel for the community.

In-Person Guided Tour Options

Learn about everything Texas A&M has to offer during an in-person campus visit. Our Howdy Crew tour guides will share information about Aggie traditions, academic resources, living and dining options and campus landmarks.

We welcome family members to explore campus and join in on tours. You’ll get the full flavor of campus life on a weekday during the fall or spring semester, when classes are in session.

Groups require a minimum of 10 students, with capacities for each session set separately. Students must be organized into groups prior to arrival with one chaperone for every 10 students.
